As an extension of TU’s Department of Dance, the Community Dance Center offers classes for people of all ages and experience levels. High-quality instructors and classes allow participants to learn in an encouraging, productive environment.
Offering classes for children from 18 months to 17 years old, the Children’s Program at the Community Dance Center offers technical and educational dance classes all year round. There are three specific programs offered: movement enhancement classes for young children, open classes for beginner to intermediate and a pre-collegiate program designed to refine and advance dance skills.
Whether you’re a beginner or a professional, TU’s Community Dance Center offers adult classes for all skill ranges. Led by professionals in 6-week sessions throughout the year and 5-week sessions in the summer, adults can learn basic skills, refine techniques and build strength through dance.
Dance professionals and educators can participate in these professional development workshops and intensives to learn more and refresh themselves on ideas, aspects, and teachings in the feild of dance.
Accredited by the National Association of Schools of Dance (NASD), the TU Community Dance program promotes an appreciation of the aesthetics of dance as an art form. It offers dance movers, educators and enthusiasts a stimulating and inviting environment to develop their technical excellence and deepen their artistic voice through a multifaceted curriculum.
